EN 1A Bright Bar
The term mild steel applies to all or any low carbon steel that doesn’t contain any alloying elements in its makeup and features a carbon content that doesn’t exceed 0.25%. The term “Mild” is used to hide a good range of specifications and forms for a spread of Steel. It is used in mechanical engineering applications for parts that will not be subject to high stress. When in its bright cold drawn condition the steel is in a position to endure higher levels of stress, particularly on smaller diameters.
